ColtogumĀ® WATER STOP is particularly suitable for professional painters and builders. You can use ColtogumĀ® WATER STOP to repair leaks as soon as they appear. Use in any weather - raining, snowing or freezing. Even cracks a few millimetres wide can be bridged. The product has high elasticity. ColtogumĀ® WATER STOP repairs leaks immediately and will bear a person's weight after a sufficient period of hardening. Keep a can handy at all times to repair damage quickly.
Wide area of use
ColtogumĀ® WATER STOP can be applied to most materials: roofing felt, multiply systems, bitumen, asphalt, shingles, hard PVC, polyester, zinc, aluminum, glass and tiles - which makes it ideal for roofs, terraces, gutters, chimney bases and pipes. Porous substrates (wood, concrete, stone) must be dry, however. ColtogumĀ® WATER STOP is not suitable for PVC films, polystyrene insulating materials and new concrete.
Instructions for use
Remove any dirt, dust, mud, moss or leaves. Clean these areas with a stiff brush and wipe with a sponge. A porous substrate (e.g. cellular concrete) should be primed first with a suitable primer. ColtogumĀ® WATER STOP reinforced with fibres is then applied carefully to the leaking areas; apply to cracks at right-angles to the direction of cracking. Consumption is 1 - 2.5 litres/m2, depending on the substrate. In the case of large, active cracks, ColtogumĀ® WATER STOP is applied alongside the cracks after cleaning; jointing tape is then laid over the crack, and a heavy coat of ColtogumĀ® WATER STOP is applied on top.
